Nokia's Logo History

1. In 1865 Fredrik Idestam establishes a paper mill at the Tammerkoski Rapids in south-western Finland, where the Nokia story began. Nokia, Finnish Rubber Works Ltd. In addition to footwear and tyres, Nokia Rubber Works also manufactured rubber bands, industrial parts and raincoats.
2. In 1967 Nokia Ab, Finnish Rubber Works and Finnish Cable works formally merge to create Nokia Corporation
3. In 1979:Radio telephone company Mobira Oy began a joint venture between Nokia and leading Finnish television maker Salora
4. Nokia went on to create first portable phone, first hand held phone, first phone enabled to make GSM call
5. In 1992 the legendary Nokia tune was launched.
